You can visit us twice a year for dental exams and cleanings, but the other 363 days a year, your oral health is in your hands. Use fluoride toothpaste and brush for two minutes twice a day, once in the morning and once at bedtime.

Floss once a day using the proper technique to get the most benefit from your effort. If you’re unsure what that means or have questions about your at-home routine, ask your dental hygienist, who will be happy to demonstrate.

By now, you should know that sweets and sugary foods are terrible for your teeth. Bathing your teeth in sugar throughout the day puts you at increased risk for cavities and gum disease and isn’t great for your general health either.

At your six-month exams and teeth cleanings, we will look for signs of problems that have developed since your last visit and treat them promptly. Our dentists will check all your dental work, including crowns, fillings, and bridges, to ensure they’re in good condition.

6 Signs That It’s Time to See Your Dentist

If you’re between visits or haven’t seen a dentist in a while, here are some signs that it might be time to schedule an appointment.
