Nitrous oxide sedation/ laughing gas
Nitrous oxide is a safe and fast acting method to help patients relax in seconds during procedures. You will remain entirely awake during the procedure, so you can respond to instructions, but you will not have to worry about feeling fear. Many patients may feel giddy during their treatment. With nitrous oxide, you won’t have to worry about arranging a ride to and from the dentist, because the effects are easily reversed with oxygen.
Oral conscious sedation
If your phobia is so bad that you struggle to even come sit in the dental chair, we offer a more powerful alternative. With oral conscious sedation, you will take a sedative about an hour before your appointment, that will help you relax and put you into a dream like state. While you will remain awake and aware of your surroundings, most patients will not remember their appointment, but the effects will wear off relatively soon, and you will feel normal afterwards . With this option, you will need to arrange a ride to and from the dentist.

IV sedation
For the most extreme cases of anxiety, or for dental work that takes a long time, we recommend IV sedation. During your procedure you will be asleep and monitored by a board certified Anesthesiologist, using computer technology to monitor your vitals and determine when to adjust your sedation. You will feel drowsy for awhile after your procedure, and you will need to arrange transportation for your appointment.
